We took a little boat to get from Lombok to the Gili island.
We finally to manage to find our home for the week and we went straight to the beach. It was awesome. The water was warm and the low part but on the deep part it was colder. The sand is super hot and the beach scrumptiously beautiful. We went snorkelling and we saw lots of stunningly colourful fish. The day after we ran down to the beach and we went snorkelling straight away and, it is not every day you get to see…..a sea turtle. She was lying there in peace and we were just contemplating her.
I also saw a bluish grey fish with a pointy nose like a sword fish, as I didn’t know what it was I stopped, let it go and went.
I am now much more comfortable in the deep end of the sea and I do not need my buoy anymore and that makes me go much faster. I bet I don’t need any swimming lessons anymore!
Even Mateo is trying not to swim with his buoy now. It’s amazing what the sea can do to you.

Hi Luca, I am really enjoying reading your blog and you are very lucky to see a sea turtle because they are rare and some are endangered species. I would love to hear more about the fish with the pointy nose that you saw. It sounds like you are getting really good at swimming. I think your adventures are amazing so far and I wish I could come with you.

I am glad you are enjoying the blog. I simply understand that it is only you who read the blog maybe you can remind everyone in the class about it. I would love to hear from them too.
I have decided that I will be a nature explorer with you when I grow up and we can go and see beautiful specimens together.
I think the fish with the pointy nose was a small barracuda as we saw one on the stall for BBQ today. We have not tried it yet but on our first night on Gili we had a beautifully tasty red snapper.
I am getting really good with swimming now and even almost manage the butterfly stroke.
I touched a sea turtle today, really gently, as it swam up at me. It was a fantastic feeling.

Hi Luca,
I have told the whole class about your blog and Mrs Langton let the class read your blog in school yesterday. Amber was very excited and Grace loved your snorkelling photos.
I love plan about us becoming nature explorers. Which continent should we explore first? You are so lucky touch a turtle. And Max’s arm is better and the cast came off a few weeks ago.

Hi Amber it’s me Luca, I miss you so much. I remember you and I can’t stop my heart from beating for you.
By the way can you tell Dan to read the blog and comment as I miss him so much. We have finished eating at a restaurant that as a piano. I wanted to play but I couldn’t as it was not plugged in.

I got the writeing that you sent me and it was sweet espesily the bit where you said i might look pretty when i’m older. I really miss you oscar and mateyo i’ve just come back from the school disco.school discos make me think of your hole family. I remember at the last school disco tanya kept on putting me on her shoulders and she kept on stealing your hat and she put it on me.

Hi grace, I’m sorry, I have been really busy because we went on lots of walks and we saw lots of animals. Here by the fish market there are lots of stinky smelly disgusting rats but it’s good the hotel is not near it 😉
We went on a jungle trek again and it was really hot.
We also had a ride on a big 4×4 twice. It went up and down ramps, and bumpy bumpy on planks. It was fun.
